County administrator says sheriff will increase roadside-trash enforcement; CBRJ crews returning

County Administrator Chris Goodwin told the Louisa County Board of Supervisors on April 28 that monthly operational reports for March are available in his written report and include fire and EMS response statistics, airport activity and other departmental metrics.
Goodwin said he had spoken with the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office and that deputies intend to increase enforcement of recently adopted roadside-trash ordinances, and that the sheriff’s office will visit refuse and recycling centers to look for unsecured loads. Goodwin also said the Community-Based Residential Job (CBRJ) crew program will resume this year, bringing a five-person workforce to localities on a rotating weekly basis to assist with road cleanup; staff will coordinate selection of roads.
Goodwin invited supervisors to review the monthly reports for additional operational details and said staff would follow up on scheduling and crew assignments for roadside projects.
