County staff to propose five‑year Lumen internet contract for new Thurston County Sheriff's Office building

Sherry Ilg, IT director, said the total contract amount is $39,780 plus tax and that the monthly cost will be $633, roughly $17,196 annually for the new sheriff's office location. Ilg said entering a five‑year contract will lock the rate and prevent increases during the term. She also provided staff comparisons showing current costs for the new Market building and Building 3.
Commissioners did not take action during the work session; staff said the item is on the upcoming business meeting agenda for formal approval. If approved, county procurement staff will finalize contract documents and execute the agreement under the county's contracting authority.
