The School Committee received an update on the Williams Middle School project on April 29: the school building committee approved schematic design and the district submitted the schematic package to the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) on May 1, district staff said.
Officials said the schematic design links the educational program to the floor plans and current cost estimates, and that the full schematic materials and related resources are posted on the district website. Staff said they had requested an informational table at the town meeting on May 13 to present the work to the broader community.
No formal vote was required at the meeting. Committee members were directed to the district website for details and to the May 13 town meeting for a public update; staff indicated installation, scheduling and future outreach will follow MSBA review.
