"We're gonna continue to have discussions with council in the coming months to determine how it will impact the programs and projects for which you have budgeted money for this year." Following the announcement, the presiding officer stated the study session would adjourn for an executive session to discuss pending or threatened litigation under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) for 15 minutes and that there would be no action following the executive session. The study session was adjourned at 7:04 p.m. according to the meeting record.
The city did not provide additional particulars about the lawsuits during the public portion of the meeting. Staff said council will receive further briefings on potential budgetary impacts as discussions continue.
