TEA adds heavy‑equipment and small‑system water operator credentials to 2025 qualifying list; motion approved

The Kansas Postsecondary Technical Education Authority voted on April 24 to recommend two additions to the AY 2025–26 qualifying credential list used for Excel and CTE recognition. She noted the 2024 Kansas average annual wage of $56,270 and said the list seeks occupations where typical earnings are at least 70 percent of that average.
