Project staff provided updates on several grants relevant to Community Support Waiver providers and announced the next public town hall.
Sarah Welchchuk, project manager for the Community Support Waiver, said the Conflict Free Kansas Grant, a reimbursement program to help targeted case managers and community providers comply with federal conflict-of-interest requirements, remains open and closes on April 28. She said the New Day Services Transformation Grant (a reimbursement grant to help HCBS day-service providers align with an unbundled day-service definition) has closed and is under review by the program administrator. The 14(c) to competitive integrated employment (CIE) grant, intended to help employers and providers transition from sheltered-workshop activities to minimum-wage, integrated employment, was extended by one week and now closes on April 21.
Welchchuk said links to grant pages are on the Kansas CSW website and that questions can be sent via the site or by email at kansascsw@pcgus.com, which staff posted in the chat. She also announced the next town hall is scheduled for Wednesday, May 21, from 2 to 3 p.m. and that registration will be available on kansascsw.com.
KDADS program integrity staff member Corby reminded participants that the definitions discussed during the town hall had not been approved and that providers should continue to follow current reporting definitions available via the ARRIS form until KDADS finalizes any changes.
Presenters apologized for technical difficulties during the webinar and said the slide deck, recording and transcript will be posted on the Kansas CSW website.
