Administrators said the current draft lists Oakland High School IB and La Verne Early College and that the district omitted recently board-approved programs like Blackman Collegiate Academy from the list because of concurrent high-school rezoning. The change also replaces a “nationally recognized” descriptor with a “board-approved programs” label to reflect local approvals of programs such as La Verne Early College.
Board members moved and approved the amendment by voice vote. The change clarifies which programs are explicitly listed in attendance-zone policy and where families can find transfer and exemption procedures online.
