Pan Am Railways posts 2025 vegetation-management plan; Templeton Board of Health notified

At the April 28 meeting, the Templeton Board of Health was notified that Pan Am Railways submitted its 2025 yearly vegetation-management plan (VMP) and that the submission includes material safety data sheets, an approved fact sheet from the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources, and sample labels for each herbicide to be used.
The director said notification is required and that copies of the VMP and supporting documents are available online; she provided a point of contact for hard copies, noting “Anybody who wants a hard copy can request a hard copy by contacting the office of Keith L. Morris.” The director said certified notifications were sent to the chief elected official, the Board of Health and the conservation commission and noted conservation also addressed the plan in its meeting.
The director said she will upload the plan and related documents to the town’s meeting materials so residents can review the data sheets and labels. No vote was required; the item was heard as a required notification to the town.
