HUTCHINSON COUNTY, Texas — The Hutchinson County Commissioners Court approved an agreement to formalize housing of Class C inmates after county staff said an informal practice lacked formal paperwork.
Background and action
County staff said the agreement codifies an existing informal practice for housing Class C inmates and that Craig Jones had reviewed and approved the written agreement. The court questioned compensation levels; a county presenter said compensation remained the same as previously discussed.
A motion to approve the inmate-housing agreement was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. Staff were instructed to sign the agreement.
Ending
Court members said the paperwork will regularize the arrangement and the county will proceed to execute the signed agreement.
