Facilities items approved under agenda item 7 included replacement of football goal posts at Stanley Stadium, a paving contract for Hatter's Way asphalt replacement, a roof replacement contract for Hollowell Elementary, ratification of change orders for capital projects, allowance adjustments for the Keith Valley project prime contractors and equipment purchases for the new building, and a truck purchase for the operations department. The facilities report and motions were presented by board member David Brown.
On finance matters, the board approved item 8F, a three-year agreement with Shutterfly Lifetouch for photography services at elementary schools and Keith Valley. The administration said the district ran a request-for-proposals process with eight vendors and, after review and consultation with principals and Home & School Association leadership, recommended renewing Lifetouch. The administration noted Lifetouch lowered package prices by about 20 percent, will continue to provide class photos for all students regardless of orders, maintains the Lifetouch rewards and family discount plan, includes a 20 percent rebate on picture sales dispersed to Home & School Associations, and offered a one-time $10,000 donation suggested for the Hatboro-Horsham Education Foundation.
Other finance items approved included a lease renewal for multifunction printers at the new Keith Valley and district administrative offices, tax-assessment stipulations with a commercial property owner in Horsham Township, disposal of an obsolete school van, and authorization of student-activity accounts and signatories. Committee presenters noted the vendor review prioritized family pricing, digital-image offerings, and service to schools.
All listed facilities and finance items were approved by voice vote during the meeting. Motions were made separately for the facilities block (mover: David Brown; second: Susan Hunsinger Hoff) and for the finance block that included the Lifetouch contract (mover: Theresa Brown; second: Tara Conner Halston); the chair called the vote and members present voiced approval.
