Jason Herb, a project manager with SiteLogic, gave the Committee of the Whole a construction update on additions at the high school and middle school, including site work, a middle-school parent drop-off loop and interior work in the high-school STEM lab and music-room additions.
Herb said excavation for the new access road is encountering rock but crews remain on schedule to have the road available for the start of the 2025 school year. Site work also includes storm piping and structures and sidewalks along Roe and Eberly Drive. On the high school STEM lab, Herb said structural steel and decking are complete, roofing is nearly finished to get the addition “dried in,” and the brick veneer exterior façade is progressing. Interior work on the STEM lab has begun, with air duct and domestic water piping, power work and lighting wiring underway.
For the high school music-room addition, concrete masonry walls and structural steel are complete; crews are applying a fluid-applied air barrier and will begin roof blocking. Herb also showed grading progress for the middle-school parent loop and said crews continue to work on storm-water management.
The update was informational; no contract changes or formal board actions were recorded during the committee presentation.
