Councilor Walsh told the chamber the traffic commission enthusiastically supported the nomination. The council held a roll‑call vote on the honorary sign and recorded approval; the clerk noted sufficient votes and the measure was approved.
The council scheduled no further substantive action on the item; the city will arrange installation of an honorary sign on Wendell Place per the petition.
