Fond du Lac school board reorganizes leadership, approves contracts and member compensation

The Fond du Lac School District Board of Education reorganized its leadership and approved a series of routine financial and personnel items during its April 28, 2025 meeting, including a renewal of the district's food service contract, designation of public depositories, and a change to board compensation. The board elected Katie Motor president, Mark Henschel vice president, Karen Maine clerk and Luke Frame treasurer; it also approved contract renewals and administrative housekeeping items that district officials said are required annually or governed by state rules.

The reorganization and approvals included both unanimous votes and several closely divided roll calls. The board carried routine designations (banking institutions, signature stamp use, handbook corrections) unanimously; the consent agenda passed 4-3 after several members said they could not vote on an executive-session item because they had not been present. The board approved the Chartwells food-service contract renewal 6-1 and set board member compensation after a 6-1 vote.
