A group of residents told the Village of Roselle Village Board on April 28 that heavy trucks traveling on Roselle Road (also called Bloomingdale Road in places) have been repeatedly shaking houses and producing loud booms, and asked the village to enforce the 35 mph limit or install traffic controls.
Mayor Christopher Pawlowski and village staff said Roselle Road is a county road and that DuPage County would need to evaluate speed limits or install traffic controls. The village said it has asked the county to conduct a speed study and that the county reported Roselle Road is in a long‑term resurfacing plan but has given no firm date for work that could reduce noise from features such as loose manhole covers.
