City authorizes two-year renewable license with Beavercreek Youth Softball Association for Rotary Park

City staff presented Resolution 25-10 to authorize a license agreement between the city and the Beavercreek Youth Softball Association (BYSA) for use of Rotary Park. Staff said BYSA has operated with the city for about 42 years and serves roughly 1,100 children in coed summer softball programs from preschool through high school.
Under the new agreement, the term will be two years and may be renewed up to four additional two-year terms for a maximum of 10 years. BYSA will pay an annual license fee of $1,500 to offset supplies and restroom maintenance; the association will perform light diamond maintenance, run scheduling and concessions, reimburse the city for a portion of concession-stand electric usage and pay for ball-diamond lighting.
A council member moved and seconded approval of Resolution 25-10. The motion carried on voice vote; the meeting transcript records the motion and passage without objection.
