Board approves minutes, adopts findings and grants continuance to July 14

The Board of Zoning Appeals on April 28 approved the minutes from the April 14 meeting, adopted written findings of fact for a petition concerning Westminster Village at 295 Village Lane, and granted a continuance for a separate petitioner to July 14. All recorded votes were unanimous, 5-0.

These are routine administrative actions that finalize the board's record and schedule next steps for an outstanding variance hearing.

At the start of the meeting the board voted to approve the minutes from April 14; the motion carried 5-0. The board then "adopt[ed] the written findings of fact as presented, incorporating the evidence submitted into the record as our final decision and final action for various petition number BCA 2025Dash011," and the motion passed 5-0.

Separately, attorney Eric Prime, appearing on behalf of petitioner Davis Holmes, requested a continuance for pending variances, saying he had a conflict with the next available hearing date and asked that the matter be continued to July 14. The board approved the continuance; "That motion carries 5-0." The board directed the petitioner and staff to coordinate revised hearing materials and to return on the new date.

The board also directed the corporation counsel to draft written findings of fact where appropriate and noted that final action on continued items would occur at a future hearing.
