Planning commission adopts revised permit application forms, authorizes director to update others

The Greenwood City Advisory Planning Commission voted unanimously April 28 to adopt updated planning permit application forms and to authorize the planning director to amend other application forms as needed.

The planning director told the commission the revisions update ordinance references, remove incorrect fees and simplify waiver and application language to make forms easier for petitioners. "It includes updating some of our ordinance references, removing incorrect fees, and updating some waiver forms and other waiver, application forms just to be, easier for practitioners to understand," the planning director said.

The commission first approved and adopted three application forms identified by staff (site plan, final plan change and secondary plat application forms). A motion to approve those three forms was made and seconded; the motion carried 7-0.

The commission then voted to authorize the planning director to amend and prepare other application forms as needed, and to allow the director discretion to make updates over time. The list of forms the director is authorized to amend includes annexation, administrative appeal, change in previously approved commitments, dimensional variance, permanent signs, plat vacation, primary plat (residential), site plan, special use exceptions, temporary signs, use variance and zone map change. The motion to authorize the director carried 7-0.

Staff thanked colleagues Nikki, Kevin and Alyssa for their work preparing the forms and said staff will continue to update remaining applications and coordinate with the building department.
