Inspector Ron Snyder told the board his photos show several windows remain unaddressed since the case began, and the board agreed to let staff confirm completion rather than impose the contested finding immediately.
Ron Snyder, a code compliance inspector, presented recent photos and said the remaining issues are largely a set of windows on the west side of the house that were not completed after prior meetings. Barbara K. Williamson, the appellant and property owner, told the board she has purchased materials, has a painter lined up and estimated the work would be done by mid-June; she said she had completed other items on the property, including a new door, gutters and soffits.
Member Don moved to delay any additional findings on the case until the board's June meeting and directed that Williamson notify code enforcement when the work is done so the inspector could verify it. The motion was seconded and, after a voice vote, passed with Members Gamblin, Johnson, Warner, Schirach and Mazuka voting in favor. The board instructed that if Snyder confirms the repairs before the June meeting, Williamson need not appear; if the work is not completed, the case will be returned to the board in July and penalties will be assessed.
The board also discussed waiving any fees if Snyder confirms completion before the next agenda packet is finalized. Inspector Snyder and Williamson were directed to communicate off the record about scheduling the inspection and to report back before the board's next meeting.
The board's action postpones formal enforcement pending on-site verification; if the repairs are not completed by the established follow-up, the administrative process and associated penalties may proceed.
