Council opened a public hearing on the item, received no speakers, and then approved the abandonment. Vice Mayor Wade moved to approve the request; Council Member Marsh seconded, and the motion carried.
Staff said Grace Community Church will subsequently acquire the abandoned easements and that no compensation is involved.
