A Banner Air representative asked the Casa Grande City Council on March 17 to consider adding Banner Air membership to the city’s employee benefits package for fiscal year 2025–26, saying the membership would eliminate out-of-pocket costs for city employees and their households when transported by Banner Air.
Adam Martin, who identified himself as representing Banner Air and as a Casa Grande resident, told the council the service is already provided as a benefit by other municipalities such as the city of Globe and that the membership can prevent surprise bills after medical air transport. "This membership would eliminate all out of pocket costs for employees and their households when flown by Banner Air. No co pays, no deductibles, no surprise bills," Martin said.
Martin asked the council to consider the membership as a city-paid benefit in next year’s budget and requested a meeting with the city manager and human resources director to discuss how the program could be implemented. He described the benefit as both lifesaving and a recruitment and retention tool for municipal employers.
Council did not take action on the request during the meeting; the matter was presented during the public-comment section and the transcript contains no staff response or council direction to place the item on a future agenda.
