The Lake Havasu City Council on July 9 approved an intergovernmental agreement with Mohave County acting as the Horizon 6 Improvement District board and authorized multiple renewals and awards for water and wastewater equipment, repairs and odor-control chemicals.
Public Works staff member Mr. Clark said the Horizon 6 water system serves about 260 properties and that the intergovernmental agreement continues a 20-year arrangement in which the county acts as the board of directors and the city provides operations. Clark said the updated agreement was adjusted to ensure Lake Havasu City recovers all costs so city taxpayers do not subsidize the small district.
