The Lake Havasu City Council on Oct. 8, 2019 voted 5-0 to recommend that the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control approve a Series 7 beer-and-wine bar license for Desert Martini, 2120 McCulloch Boulevard.
City staff reported that required postings and fees had been completed, the location is properly zoned for a Series 7 license, and no objections were received during the public hearing. "All post requirements have been met, all these have been paid, and no objections are received," said Miss Williams during the hearing.
Vice Mayor David Lane moved the recommendation, saying, "I move to recommend that the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control approve a series number 7 beer and wine bar liquor license for Desert Martini 2120 McCulloch Boulevard." Councilmember Jenny Coke seconded the motion. The council chair called the vote and the motion carried 5 to 0.
The council's action was a recommendation to the state agency; final licensure is decided by the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control. The city record shows the location is appropriately zoned, but the transcript does not specify any conditions or restrictions attached to the recommendation.
