These include submission of Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation grant applications and Police Department public-safety grant requests (R25-28); amendment No. 7 to the Maricopa County intergovernmental agreement concerning the HOME program (R25-29); approval and submission of the five-year Consolidated Plan and annual action plan to HUD with estimated CDBG allocation $2,351,551, HOME $655,225 and ESG $206,952 (R25-30); and notice of intention to increase water and sewer user charges, set a public hearing and file supporting reports (R25-31). No public speakers were recorded on the consent resolutions and the motions passed by voice/roll-call vote.
- Ordinance O25-16 (Item 22): Approved. Rezoned 32 acres at 90 Ninth Avenue and Myrtle Avenue (Dignity Health Desert River 3 PAD) to expand allowed medical uses; passed unanimously.
- Resolution R25-32 / Ordinance O25-17 (Item 23): Approved. General-plan amendment GPA 24-04 and rezoning to allow Broadstone Arrowhead (19.4 acres, ~368 units). - Item 28: Approved. Council accepted the citys FY 2023-24 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report and audit. External auditors CliftonLarsonAllen issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the financial statements, reported no material weaknesses and identified one significant deficiency among federal single-audit programs tested.
