The Lake Havasu City Council voted 6-0 Tuesday to approve a license and use agreement naming Zephyr Systems Inc. as the special aviation service operator for Hangar 59 at the Lake Havasu City Municipal Airport.
Staff said the city issued a request for proposals in September and received three proposals; an evaluation panel recommended Zephyr Systems Inc. to establish a maintenance facility focused on piston-driven general-aviation aircraft. City staff indicated the hangar adds maintenance capability at the airport and recommended council approval. Council member Jim Dolan moved to approve the license and use agreement; Council member Nancy Campbell seconded. The motion carried 6 to 0.
The agreement assigns use of city-owned Hangar 59 to Zephyr Systems under the terms outlined in the RFP evaluation and the city’s selection process; no public opposition was offered during the hearing.
