Ian Tracy of Mason County Environmental Health told the commission on April 29 that the Mason County Board of Health is seeking applicants for vacancies on the on‑site sewage advisory committee.
"The committee provides recommendations to the board regarding on-site septic system permitting, policies, and regulations," Tracy said during the meeting. He said the committee meets quarterly, generally from 5 to 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month specified for meetings.
Tracy said the committee currently has vacancies for a shellfish industry position and a septic designer position. He encouraged interested residents to contact the commissioners’ office or the environmental health office by phone or email for application information.
