City to bid Alder Creek culvert lining; 60‑year‑old structure to be rehabilitated

Public Service Director Chris Luddle said the structure is about 60 years old and measures roughly 5 feet tall by 10 feet wide. “This legislation will allow us to rehab the Alder Run Culvert sewer storm inlet ... this sewer culvert is about 60 years old. It's 5 foot tall, 10 foot wide, and this will allow us to rehab,” Luddle said, adding the city has successfully lined similar park culvert pipes in recent years and expects lining will extend useful life without full tear‑out and replacement.
The committee approved advertising for bids on consent; the department will bid the project and return with contractors for award and construction scheduling.
