Mesa Planning and Zoning Board approves Haas Crossing Village 4 plats, continues SAIA freight proposal to Feb. 26

The City of Mesa Planning and Zoning Board on Feb. 12, 2025 approved consent-agenda items that included site plan and preliminary plat approvals for Haas Crossing Village 4 and voted to continue consideration of the SAIA motor freight lines site plan to the board's Feb. 26 meeting.

Board members approved, as part of a single consent motion, the minutes from the Jan. 22, 2025 meeting and staff recommendations on several zoning cases. The board approved site-plan review for Haas Crossing Village 4 for a single-resident subdivision located at the southwest corner of South Haas Road and East Warner Road and approved a preliminary plat for Haas Crossing Village 4, described in the record as 39 acres at the same intersection. The SAIA motor freight lines site plan and warehouse project, described as 13 acres located about 1,900 feet east of the southeast corner of East Pecos Road and South Chrisman Road, was continued to the Feb. 26 Planning and Zoning Board meeting on staff recommendation.

Chair Ayers called for a motion to approve the consent agenda as written; the motion was seconded and the board voted to approve. Vice Chair Pitcher, Board Member Petersen and Board Member Farnsworth recorded affirmative votes during the roll call; the chair characterized the result as unanimous.

The board conducted no in-depth public discussion on these items during the Feb. 12 session and there were no public-comment items recorded in the hearing transcript. The meeting adjourned shortly after the consent vote.
