The motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Council Member Gessner and seconded by Council Member Harris. Council voted verbally in favor; the motion carried with no recorded opposition.
Later the council recessed to executive session under Section 551.071 (consultation with attorney) to discuss extension of an 8-inch water main in the Dub Crossing subdivision in an amount not to exceed $111,000 and under Section 551.087 (deliberation regarding incentives to a business prospect) to discuss economic-development negotiations. The council entered executive session at 6:45 p.m. and reconvened in open session at 8:12 p.m.; the mayor announced "no action taken" on the executive-session items.
