The Northampton Housing Authority approved a three-month contract to secure interim executive and support services from the Holyoke Housing Authority and its staff, with a notional contract amount discussed during the meeting.
Interim Executive Director Matt Mayneville clarified the $53,998 figure referenced in meeting materials is the contract total for shared services and will not be paid as a single lump sum directly to him. Mayneville said the contract covers a range of Holyoke staff supports — IT, admissions and occupancy support, procurement assistance and other technical staff — that will assist Northampton operations during the interim period.
Commissioners moved and seconded the contract approval and then voted by roll call. The motion passed unanimously. Board members praised Mayneville’s initial work around property maintenance and asked that he continue tenant outreach and coordination with residents as the interim arrangement continues.
No additional conditions or amendments were included in the motion on the floor; the contract was approved to allow Holyoke staff resources to provide short-term operational capacity to Northampton.
