Veterans committee asks for timeline on monument design after council funds approved

Perez said the committee had donated about $28,000 and that the overall build estimate discussed previously was in the mid-thirty-thousand-dollar range; he asked staff for a timeline because continued fundraising depends on having a design to show donors.
A town staff member said they would check the status of the design contract letting and report back to the committee and council liaisons. Perez thanked the liaison assigned to the committee for ongoing support and asked staff to provide the timeline so the veterans committee can proceed with further fundraising and outreach.
No formal design contract or timeline was announced at the quarterly meeting; staff committed to follow up with the veterans committee.
