"This ordinance is about the freedom and safety of all members of our community and affirms the rights and protections of the LGBT community to have the freedom to choose what to do with their bodily autonomy and get the health care that they deserve and need," Zapone said. He added the ordinance also "protects their freedoms from sharing data with other entities and providing that shield protection from other states who might, come after them for those protections."
