Raymore council approves package of contracts, hires and street work; selects mayor pro tem

The Raymore City Council on April 28 approved a set of routine contracts and ordinance readings, adopted a resolution to pursue the state's Blue Shield public safety designation and selected Sonia Abdelghawad as mayor pro tem. The council also awarded a $1,393,180 contract for the 2025 street preservation program and approved several service agreements for parks and city facilities.

The council disposed of the consent agenda by motion, which included minutes (April 14 regular and special meetings), final payment for an inflow and infiltration investigation, and Resolution 25-11 establishing Raymore as a Blue Shield community under the Safer Missouri initiative. The consent motion passed unanimously.
