The office of the governor transmitted a package of appointments to the Michigan Senate on April 29, 2025. The secretary read the list on the floor and the Senate referred the nominations to committees where appropriate.
Appointments announced included nominations to the Michigan Bean Commission (Chris Krueger, Alan Fisher, Neil French, Mark Shaw); the Certificate of Need Commission (Karen Cheeseman, Tatiana Grant); the Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board (Robert O'Meara); the Crime Victim Services Commission (Jeffrey Getting); and the Michigan Board of Dietetics and Nutrition (Michelle Bugs, Emily Carmier, Lisonbee Bone, Bethany Thayer, Laura Cole, Lynette Maxey, Tina Guajardo, Tracy Booth, Rucha Modoc, Kimberly Dawn Wisdom, Brian Nader, Ryan Trotter, Arlen Daley).
Additional appointments read into the record included James Ananick to the Michigan Gaming Control Board; Kristen Walcott to the Board of Health and Safety Compliance and Appeals; Kimberly Scott, Dominique Clemens, Jason Reid, Holly Hook and Bobby Meehan to the Manufactured Housing Commission; Shannon Simon to the Organized Retail Crime Advisory Board; and Stanley Opel, Nancy McClain, Paul Scribe and Dax Richer to the Board of Professional Engineers. The governor also transmitted David Henry for the Michigan Veterans Facility Authority board of directors and Jason Garvan and Franklin Hayes to the Michigan Wildlife Council.
The secretary announced referral of the transmitted audits and appointments to the appropriate committees, for example the Committee on Oversight and the Committee on Economic and Community Development, as noted on the floor.
