A motion to approve the replacement with an expenditure not to exceed $7,500 was made, seconded and approved by roll-call (Alderperson Smith, Alderperson Newman and Alderperson Henkel voted aye). Staff said department budget funds could cover the replacement and that typical labor to swap the pump in past incidents has ranged from roughly $300–$400, depending on time on site; the item was recorded as approved and staff will proceed to purchase and install the pump.
Committee members noted the park restroom is heavily used in summer and that having two operational pumps is important to avoid service outages.
