Sharon Bolstad, a Renton resident, told the City Council she had received no reply after asking why a camera cutaway removed a presenter’s visual aid during the council’s April 14 meeting and requested a response.
"We all deserve answers to our questions," Bolstad said, noting she had emailed the council and included her contact information on the public-comment sign-up. She asked whether a timeline exists for follow-up responses and said she expected an explanation and an apology for how the presenter, Matt Hamby, was treated when the visual aid was not shown.
Cheryl Frieze, who also spoke during the public-comment period, told Bolstad there had been an email response sent earlier that afternoon and urged Bolstad to check her email account. Frieze said the response contained an explanation, although Bolstad said she had not yet seen it during the meeting.
The transcript shows no formal council action or formal staff response delivered on the record at this meeting. Bolstad said she would return to a future meeting if she did not receive a reply.
