Clayton County State Court accepts multiple pleas, imposes sentences and probation conditions during jail calendar

Clayton County State Court Judge Tammy Long Hayward presided over a jail and probation calendar on April 29, 2025, during which multiple defendants entered pleas, the court imposed sentences or probation conditions and several matters were continued. The court heard negotiated pleas and sentencing recommendations from the state and defense for criminal trespass, traffic and probation-revocation matters.

The calendar covered a string of routine dispositions and one probation-revocation stipulation that included both short jail credit and a requirement for clinical evaluation and treatment. The court repeatedly imposed “no contact” conditions in trespass and harassment cases and warned that violations could lead to revocation and additional charges.

Most consequential for immediate supervision was the probation revocation stipulation in the case of Brandon Lanier Turner (2021CR08044). The court revoked six days of Turner’s probation sentence, credited time served, ordered ongoing probation with drug screening at each report, required a clinical evaluation by May 10 (rescheduled in court to May 5 for Turner) and mandated weekly AA or NA meeting attendance with proof of participation.

Other outcomes included accepted pleas and suspended portions of sentences in multiple criminal trespass cases: Marshall Jerome Allen (2025CR03767) pleaded guilty and received a 12-month sentence with 18 days to serve and the balance suspended provided he have no violent or harassing contact with Lakeshia Johnson; Melissa Rochelle Brooks (2022CR00621) pleaded guilty to criminal trespass and was sentenced to 12 months with 30 days to serve, balance suspended, with an order not to return to 624 Fayetteville Road and no violent or harassing contact with the victim, Grady Bailey; and Aaron Alicia Robinson (2025CR03746) pleaded…
