Court appoints Sean Kathleen Johnston independent executrix for James Leroy Freeman without bond

In cause 25 CPR 042162 the court admitted the last will and testament of James Leroy Freeman, who the transcript records died Dec. 14, 2024 in Fort Bend County at age 83, and appointed his daughter, Sean Kathleen Johnston, as independent executrix to serve without bond. The court also appointed counsel Miss Davis as resident agent in the case and waived appraisers.
Johnston testified she recognized her father's will, that no children were born or adopted after the will's execution in 2015, and that the estate is nontaxable. She confirmed she is qualified to serve as independent executor and has not been convicted of a felony. The court found testimony sufficient, admitted the will, and appointed Johnston as independent executrix without bond.
The court also appointed the applicant's attorney as resident agent in the matter and extended standard condolences to the family.
