In cause 25 CPR 042202 the court admitted to probate the purported last will dated March 9, 2018 for Randall L. Evans, who the record shows died Sept. 17, 2021 in Sugar Land, Fort Bend County, at age 65. The court took judicial notice that the original will is on file.
Benicia Flores, counsel for the applicant, told the court the decedent’s will is self-proved, has not been revoked to her knowledge and lists Teresa O. Evans, the decedent’s wife, as independent executor to serve without bond. Flores asked the court to waive appointment of appraisers and issue letters testamentary to Teresa O. Evans.
The court admitted the will to probate, waived appraisers and appointed Teresa O. Evans independent executrix to serve without bond.
The record notes that no state agency or charity is named as a beneficiary and that no children were born or adopted following the will. Counsel stated the estate is nontaxable.
