Lancaster County says airport terminal nearly complete, project remains within county’s budget share

Lancaster County staff reported construction progress on the new Lancaster County Airport terminal and told council the project is largely on schedule and within the county’s budget share.
Tim Green, project manager for Lancaster County, said the original contract notice-to-proceed set the project at about $7.3 million and that the county’s share was adjusted to $2.5 million during earlier budget actions. Green said the county has secured federal funds under the BIL grant program and state funds through the South Carolina Aeronautics Commission, and that the grant programming covers multiple years.…
