Graham County supervisors approved a rezoning request, REZ925-25 (parcel 107300408), to change the property’s zoning to M (general manufacturing) after county planning staff found a kennel operating at the site and sought compliance.
Planning staff said Wade and Terry Lineberger applied to rezone the property at 7716 East Sanchez Road to formalize the existing kennel operation and bring the parcel into compliance. The property is remote and visible from a distance; planning staff reported no neighbor objections and noted community support. Supervisors praised the owners for cooperating with planning staff to resolve the nonconforming use.
The board approved the rezoning by voice vote and directed staff to update zoning records. No conditions or additional permit requirements were raised on the record during the hearing.
