Board approves IT consultant agreement to support treasurer/finance software transition

The board approved an IT services consulting agreement with Robert Hemming covering March 3, 2025, through June 30, 2026, to support the county’s treasurer and finance offices.
Julie Rodriguez explained Hemming’s long experience with Tyler New World — the county’s current product — and his work on an integration database that allows the treasurer’s system to communicate with the finance system. Hemming will help during the treasurer’s migration to a new Collectware system and develop programming support, including automating an audit report that Julie said currently takes 35–40 hours to run manually and could be reduced to minutes with a script.
Supervisors approved the agreement by motion and voice vote. Staff will execute the consulting contract and schedule deliverables with Hemming and affected departments.
