The Graham County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a series of routine administrative items during its March 3 meeting, including travel, grant applications, limited-service contracts, contract awards and an over-the-counter tax deed offer.
Most items were moved, seconded and approved without extended discussion. Among approvals were authorization to send four county employees to the Spillman user conference in Grapevine, Texas; permission to apply for multiple law-enforcement grants (Governor's Office of Highway Safety DUI overtime, STEP enforcement overtime, and the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission drug/gang/violent crime program); and a limited-services contract to secure Rule 11 competency evaluations when the county’s regular evaluator is unavailable. The board also approved extending a part-time work agreement in the assessor’s office and accepted an over-the-counter tax-deed offer for parcel 10959025 that meets the minimum to cover back taxes, interest and fees.
The board received and forwarded several construction and maintenance bids to staff for conformity review and award to the lowest conforming bidder. These included bids for a Solomon Road asphalt patch, the ballpark concession stand lease, and a shade-structure rebuild at the fairgrounds maintenance yard. Staff will confirm budget conformity before final awards.
All motions listed above were approved by voice vote. Where specific seconders or movers were recorded in the public minutes, staff recorded those names in the official minutes.
