Zoning official reports enforcement actions; prosecutor requested for administrative search warrant

Zoning Inspector Dale told trustees he has sent letters and case files to the fire department and that two certificates submitted earlier this month related to accessory structures have been processed. He reported the township is waiting on a court date in November for a property at 2787 Bell Road after a case management conference on April 9.
Dale reported an incident at 4871 Lehigh where a person is living in an outdoor shed and the fire department reported a related 911 response; staff asked the prosecutor for an administrative search warrant to allow a coordinated inspection and to confirm hazards. Another site, listed to an LLC on tax records, will require additional investigation to identify the responsible agent.
The zoning office said it will begin sending monthly certificate lists to the fire department so fire crews can be aware of new structures and avoid responding to unknown addresses. Trustees did not take a formal vote on enforcement steps at the meeting; staff said they will proceed once the prosecutor approves the warrant request.
