Board recommends awarding Evergreen Elementary furniture contract to Duet Resource Group

Holmen School District staff recommended awarding the Evergreen Elementary Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment contract to Duet Resource Group at the board's April 28 meeting.
Julie Holman presented the Evergreen FF&E bids and said Duet Resource Group was the only vendor to bid 100% of the 117 line items in the RFP, with a total bid of $563,936.54. Administrators reviewed alternates from other bidders (Emmons Business Interiors and Atmosphere Commercial Interiors) and determined that combining alternates would exceed Duet's bundled price. Holman also noted Duet's post-install check-ins at 12 and 24 months and limited lifetime support; warranty periods for furniture generally are short.
Because the Duet bid was $72,000 under the district estimate and covered all line items, administration recommended awarding the full contract to Duet rather than splitting the order. The recommendation was placed on the consent agenda and approved as part of the board's unanimous consent vote.
The approval authorizes business services to execute the contract and schedule installation in coordination with Evergreen Elementary's timeline.
