At the close of its Dec. 2 meeting the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District Board of Education reminded the public of upcoming meetings and announced board candidacy information for the spring election.
Board President Sheila Hibner listed upcoming meetings: a finance committee meeting at 6 p.m. and the regular board meeting at 7 p.m. on Dec. 16. The board also identified seats up for election next spring: Area 1 (Sheila Hibner), Area 3 (Tabitha Hanson, who said she intends to run) and Area 4 (Bob Hesselbein, who said he intends to run). The board noted the vacancy created by Todd Berry’s earlier departure in Area 4 was filled at the Dec. 2 meeting.
Hibner announced she does not intend to run for re-election to her Area 1 seat and thanked the community for the opportunity to serve. Board members encouraged community members to consider board service and asked the public to forward agenda items for upcoming meetings to the superintendent or board president.
The meeting then adjourned following a motion and voice vote.
