Conference committee adopts four bills; several measures deferred to next day

Measures deferred
Several measures were deferred to a reconvened session set for April 25 (or described as “tomorrow”) at 1:30 p.m. in Conference Room 224. Items explicitly rolled included: a renewable gas tariff measure (Senate Bill 1220), SB 1500 SD2 HD1 (electric utilities), HB 850 HD1 SD1 (electronic meetings and electronic voting for condominiums), SB 825 SD2 HD2 (eviction mediation), SB 1044/SB 104? (property insurance stabilization — SB 1044 / SB 1044 SD2 HD2 referenced as SB 1044/1044 family), SB 1048-related follow-ups when release was pending, SB 1367 (installment loans — discussion of converting a fee to $1 and a possible five-year sunset provision), and several other items for which ways-and-means or finance committee release was requested. In many cases managers said a conference CD1 had been distributed but finance release was still pending.
Why it matters
