Winchester honors Beiler and Company for CTE support

Winchester Public Schools honored Beiler and Company at the school board meeting for multi-year support of the district’s career and technical education programs.
Board members and staff recognized founder Tyler Beiler (absent due to illness) and Brooke Sigler, who has assisted the division’s work-based learning efforts. Staff said the relationship began about three years ago after an initial tour and led to a paid internship for a John Hanley carpentry student, Luis Marquez Cardoso, who later received a job offer and returned to mentor students.
Staff credited Beiler and Company with helping start the Shenandoah Valley Career Showcase and covering Frederick County students’ transportation costs so they could attend. The March 28 showcase drew about 370 students and roughly 32 business partners, staff said.
"Partners like this enable us to create some amazing opportunities for the students of Winchester and give students insight into their futures," the presenter said while presenting a plaque to Brooke Sigler.
No formal action was taken; the recognition was ceremonial.
