Board approves Lincoln trade‑home selection, safety‑monitoring contract and BenQ display purchases

Trade‑home selection: The Building Trades class selected a family (Nicholas and Madeline Palmquist) to receive the 2025–26 trade home built by Lincoln High School students. The committee said the chosen home fit the program’s size threshold (under 2,000 square feet) and was more workable for the class than an alternate 2,500‑square‑foot option.
Gaggle safety management contract: The committee recommended and the board approved entering a three‑year contract with Gaggle to purchase the Gaggle Safety Management Suite and Google Drive archiving for a total cost of $68,675. The committee said funding will come from the 2025–26 technology budget and described the product as a way to monitor public student access content and flag issues for administrators.
BenQ interactive flat panels: The board approved purchasing up to 75 BenQ interactive flat panels (IFPs) and up to 75 mounting kits from BG Innovations not to exceed $300,000. The devices will replace aging smart boards that are no longer supported; the committee explained purchases will be made in smaller lots to spread warranty start dates and accommodate limited storage and installation timelines.
Votes and procedure: the Business Services Committee report and consent items BS1 through BS3 were approved by roll call at the board meeting. Minutes show board members present voted in favor during the roll call. The committee also reported donations received (Rapids Raptors $2,500 to the quadplex; $4,810 from multiple donors for children’s theater) and announced a public open house for the trade home on May 28 (5321 Washington Street) and board tours on June 2.
