Senate committee advances resolution honoring Ralph Groner’s public service

Chris Groner, Ralph Groner’s son, and Joe Basler, executive director of Oregon Ask Me, offered personal testimony about Groner’s advocacy for seniors, working families and bipartisanship.
Committee members expressed appreciation for Groner’s service and the motion to move HCR 13 to the floor was approved by the committee; Senator Meek was asked to carry the measure. Testimony included no fiscal impacts and framed the resolution as memorial recognition.
