Staff said the city selected an investment manager in December and adopted procedures for managing public funds; the treasurer then completed certification coursework and testing.
“This enhances the knowledge, skills, and the confidence in managing public funds,” a staff presenter said while describing the certification’s intent to provide investment tools and strategies for municipal funds. Staff asked the council to publicly acknowledge Jensen’s work; the council applauded her accomplishment.
No formal action was required; the item was a ceremonial recognition and informational briefing on the city’s investment program.
